Content Strategy Calendar Meeting

During this meeting, the CC and CEM will complete the final draft of the Content Strategy Calendar. This includes any blog notes, relevant blogs, LSIs, or any other pertinent details in the blog section of the calendar.

To prepare for the meeting:

  • Any LSIs, relevant links, blogs for the blog section (if any)
  • A list or link of a list pulled up on your computer with upcoming area events and holidays
  • Working ideas for eblast goals and CTAs

During the meeting:

  1. Start with the blog section, review the keywords and add any missing LSIs, relevant links, or blogs in the blog notes section
  2. Fill out the social media section with upcoming events and holidays
  3. Fill out the eblast section together

At the end of this meeting, you should have a completed Content Strategy Calendar that is ready to be sent for the customer’s approval. Remember to CC both Content Creator and CEM on this email.


Calendar Call with Customer

Before the call, each CEM and CC team decides how to divide out the explanation of the Strategy Calendar.

An Example Division of Explanation:

Introduction/Quarter Goals
CEM opens the call to revisit goals for the quarter

Blogging/Content/Keywords section
Both CEM and Content Creator take turns explaining the logic behind around specific keywords, reasoning for choosing long-form or short-form blogs, or static page creation or re-writes. Each person should especially be prepared to explain a keyword that they specifically researched or their idea to re-write/create a static page.

Social Media Section
Content Creator explains logic behind the social media strategy.

Eblasts section
CEM explains the logic behind the eblasts strategy

Conclusion

Both CEM and Content review their respective next steps if any and the CEM concludes the call.
