Getty Image Pricing for Customers

We have good news! We renewed our subscription for Getty Images. First, we’d like to thank you for your efforts to use the Photo Bank as your first option for images and to control the number of images we pay for! The effort is working!! Please continue to use the Photo Bank and upload images you download from Getty for others to use. (Please continue to label and organize images on the Photo Bank accordingly. If you have questions, please contact Allison.)

We have selected an annual package of 3,000 images (average 250 downloads per month). We based our selection off of recent usage after putting the Photo Bank into effect. We are confident that this quantity will meet our needs, but if you have feedback that suggests otherwise, we will take that into consideration.

Fee Structure for Stock Images

Going forward, we will institute a policy (which is common in the industry) where we charge customers for images. This is specific to website design for both Website Product and our Marketing Services Partners. We do not charge our clients for images used in blog posts. The pricing is as follows:

  • 0-4 images = Free
  • 5-10 images = $50
  • 10-20 images = $100
  • 20-30 images = $200

As a general rule, customers like to use their own photography because it sets an accurate expectation and we should continue to encourage that. But there are instances when a client doesn’t have suitable photography for their sub-pages, and this is a reasonably priced solution for their needs.

We have updated our sales agreements to reflect this information. Your responsibility will be to simply remind them of the agreement and then help them decide where they need better photography. Then, calculate the number of images used and communicate that to Victoria so she can add it to their invoice.
